A mod that adds a turret used to defend you and your property. Works on Valkyrien Skies ships.
REQUIRES my other mod Factions Proper for the turret to determine which players to target with the turret.
As the turret is a BLOCK and not an ENTITY, it works on Valkryien Skies ships.
This mod adds a turret block designed specifically for the needs of airship captains and base builders. Unlike other entity-based turret mods that can glitch through moving platforms, this turret is a solid block entity that stays perfectly synced with Valkyrien Skies ships. It integrates with the Factions Proper mod to ensure it only fires on the people you actually want it to hit.
The turret requires a constant redstone signal to stay active. When powered, its internal core glows red (making the block appear bright red); when the power is cut, it shuts down immediately (making the block appear dark again).
The block has 100 HP by default. It can be damaged by enemy projectiles or melee weapons. When it runs out of HP, it blows up but does not cause block damage. You can see the HP in the GUI.
You can customize exactly who the turret perceives as a threat through its GUI. The options below depend on the Factions Proper mod.
Monsters: Targets any standard hostile mob.
Neutral: Targets players in factions with "Neutral" status.
Enemy: Targets players in factions explicitly marked as "Enemy".
Stateless: Targets players who are not in a faction.
Ally: Targets allied factions. (This is off by default, because shooting your friends is usually a bad idea).
The turret will never target its owner or any player in the owner's same faction. It is also programmed to ignore anyone in Creative or Spectator mode to prevent unnecessary fire.
Right-clicking the turret opens the Ammunition GUI. This window features a 3×3 grid where you can store up to 9 stacks of ammunition. Screenshot posted in the mod page for example.
The turret is compatible with several popular mods and fires them at an "Anti-Air" velocity (flatter trajectory and high speed):

Players within your faction can change the targeting settings of the turret. Anyone on any faction or a stateless player can open the turret's inventory.
